34 Random Virtues, Thoughts & Things I’ve Realized Over the Years.
An epiphany can be amazing, humbling, sad, happy, exciting, funny, interesting, confusing and every adjective you can think of.
It is the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-two.
Happy Sunday everyone. I hope everyone had a happy new year celebration. My prayer for all of you is that the lessons and blessings from any trials and challenges from the previous year will be realized in this new year. Let’s leave our burdens behind and make new friends, connections and experiences. Let’s have greater epiphanies and awe inspiring realizations. Let’s make memories that make us laugh until our cheeks and abs hurt.
Let’s be happy.
Here are some things I’ve realized not just from last year but throughout life really. I hope some resonate with you.
When your energy levels are high so are certain qualities of character like courage, kindness, patience, diligence and understanding. Keep the body healthy to keep the mind healthy. This keeps the soul healthy.
Use people's names. When you use someone's name and make eye contact they light up. You can win hearts and make life long friendships this way.
In his book The Hidden Messages In Water, Masaru Emoto discusses the importance of pure and structured water. Interestingly, the condition of the soul can effect the structure of the water you drink. Think good thoughts, be happy, show love. Even if you don't have an expensive water structuring machine or can't afford pure glacier water, the thoughts that you think, the way that you act and treat others can literally structure the water you drink into the form it needs to be in to truly hydrate and nourish you. This is our Creator's way of making up for the fact that some people may be in less fortunate situations but have a heart of gold. Be a good person and God will add blessings to you no matter your circumstance.
When you're inspired with a thought or an idea, take action on it promptly if you can or write it down immediately before the strong feeling that came with it fades. If you wait too long you will forget. And if you remember, you might lose the passion that came with it and you may never receive or impart the benefit that acting on it would have granted. Catch inspiration before it flys away.
Get silicone utensils so when you're scraping the last bit of food from the pan you don't disturb others, especially if they're sleeping.
If it's wholesome, poses no harm to anyone, and could be a benefit to you or others then satisfy your curiosity. It's a terrible thing to perpetually wonder.
You can ask for a discount on the carton of eggs if some are cracked. You usually get one.
Put some drops of essential oils in your laundry. It cleans, disinfects, smells amazing and is non-toxic.
When you have to lose something to learn the lesson, God may not allow you to regain what you lost lest you fall into the same trap and succumb to old ways, protecting your soul.
You are not as smart as you think.
You are not as dumb as you think.
Your critics may be right.
Your friends may be wrong.
Sometimes something is neither wrong nor right, just perspective.
Sometimes having the “wrong” perspective can lead you down the right path.
Sometimes having the “right” perspective can lead you down the wrong path.
There really is nothing new under the sun. Don’t try to be novel, try to be effective.
There is no piece of wisdom that can come from a man’s mouth that the Bible hasn’t already expressed in some way.
Sometimes right words come from hypocritical mouths. Listen to the words themselves, even if the one who spoke them doesn’t live by them. If they are true they will still benefit you if you live by them.
Whether you agree with them or not, there is a reason a person says certain things. Discover the perspective from which they speak and you might understand something you didn’t before.
Enjoy the present. Plan for the future. The future eventually becomes the present and when it comes you will always look back and be glad you did.
It’s easier said than done. It also feels good to say that it’s done. So put in the effort and do it.
Even the biggest and baddest is scared of the smallest when they realize they’re not afraid. Why aren’t they afraid?
I still can’t figure out if a straw has two holes or one.
Armor works for the one who has it even others don’t. That’s the way it works and will always work.
Honey almost makes anything better.
Broken bones hurt a lot less than a broken spirit.
Broken bones still freaking hurt though.
You don’t have to be vegetarian or vegan to eat tofu.
You can eat tofu and chicken in the same meal, you don’t have to choose.
You think no one knows? Someone knows, someone always knows.
You can lose weight on any diet. Energy balance will always be the biggest factor. Expend more than you take in and the magic will happen. But always eat real whole food.
The body, mind and soul only puts up with what hurts for so long.
There’s a silver lining in everything.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
